Much of this calendar is based on reading Genesis and Exodus during Lenten Evening Prayer. This is following the Anglican Church of Australia Lectionary.
I am especially using two books by Avivah Zornberg.

Avivah Gottlieb Zornberg "The Beginning of Desire: Reflections on Genesis" (1995) Doubleday, New York
for Days 4, 5, 6, 7, 10, 14, 17, 18, 21, 23, 24, 26.

Avivah Gottlieb Zornberg, "The Particulars of Rapture" Reflections on Exodus, (2002, Image/Doubleday)
is used for: Days 27, 28, 29, 30, 31, 32, 33, 35.

For comments on the saints of the day I use:

"Times and Seasons" by Gilbert Sinden SSM 1980
For Day 3, 6, 19, 21, 23, 26, 34.

And the Hymn Book: "Together in Song" on Days 3 and 19.

Day Eleven uses "All Rivers Run to the Sea" by Elie Wiesel
